Joseph Yacisen, D.O.

Joseph Yacisen, D.O., an orthopaedic surgeon on the active medical staff at Gratiot Medical Center, specializes in helping patients resume their normal activity level while restoring comfort and function. Dr. Yacisen offers his patients surgical and non-surgical treatment options, while taking advantage of the latest technological advances that have been made in the field of joint replacement and arthroscopic surgery.

Dr. Yacisen received his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He completed his internship and residency at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Flint. Dr. Yacisen also has a subspecialty of sports medicine and has completed a fellowship in this area at new England Baptist Hospital in Boston, MA. Dr. Yacisen has special interests in the following areas: knee repair, shoulder repair, minimally invasive joint replacement, fracture care and others.

Outside of the practice of medicine Dr. Yacisen enjoys spending time with his wife Barb and two sons Brennan and Braydon and new daughter Brianna. His hobbies include fishing, weight lifting, arm wrestling and muscle cars.

Dr. Yacisen is welcoming new patients at his offices in Alma, Clare, Houghton Lake and Mt. Pleasant.
